Arrival Option 2 – Elf-ie

Scene Set up Ideas...

Once you have cut out your ELF-ie frame, this is a super quick set-up and can provide much fun for the children (and all the toys)!

We’ve sat our Happy Elf in a gold throne* or leaned our Happy Elves against a Santa sack we already had (you could use something else Christmassy to prop them up against instead, like a cushion or toy).

If you don’t have a fireplace to set your scene at, don’t worry, choose somewhere else like a comfy chair or the windowsill to set your scene at each night for the following morning (or mix it up a little – keeping the children guessing where The Happy Elf/Elves will be when they awake).

We’ve also used our phone as a prop (it happens to have a popsocket stuck on it, which is perfect for propping it up). But a blob of tac could be used instead.

To hold the Happy Elf’s hands to the ELF-ie prop card and phone, we’ve used some sticky tape!

Our arrival treat was a small pile of chocolate coins from the supermarket (we are big fans of chocolate in our house, so our treats in each scene are mostly chocolate ones!).

ELF-ie frames can keep everyone amused for ages. You may want to encourage the children to take ELF-ie photos of their Happy Elf/Elves with their other toys too!

Optional Extra Certificates We have made a certificate (links below), which you could use as an award in some of the tasks, should you wish.
