Who is The Bossy Elf?
On the 1st of December, “The Elf ” AKA The Bossy Elf visits their human family. The Bossy Elf brings timed challenges and lots of daft FUN!
Each day The Bossy Elf sets different tasks. Some are demanding, daft, FUN and tricky. Such as challenges; to make your brain work overtime. There’s lots to make everyone laugh out loud! (Laughter is the best medicine!) On Christmas Eve The Bossy Elf disappeared until the following year…
The Bossy Elf’s tasks are entertaining; even for grown-ups!
What sort of tasks are there in the pack?
Example tasks include; Treasure Hunt, Dance Off, Riddles, Mental Challenges, Forbidden Words, Marshmallow Ninja Challenge, Secret Word Challenges, Jester Performances and more…
How does the pack work?
Grown-ups flick through the pack’s pages and choose a task using our “AT-A-GLANCE” baubles to see how much prep and activity time is suggested.
Then use our HANDY LISTS page to gather any props you might need. We hope you’ll have over 80% of it already.
Scan the QR CODE on each activity for ideas and images of how we set up ours (including comical captions to keep you entertained). Plus a few optional extra downloads (like a printable certificate which could be used as an award).
Finally, follow the step-by-step instructions and snip off the prop card from the instructions and you’re all set to set up your Bossy Elf scene.
Note: The “Bossy Elf” could be an elf who has visited you before, but has returned after a year at “The Bossy Elf Academy!” Or a new Bossy Elf who is visiting you for the first time! This is all explained to the children in both of the Arrival Task options in the pack.
What is in the pack?
The Bossy Elf pack includes:
24 x Tricky Tasks set by The Bossy Elf; bringing daft fun, games and laughter for all! These tasks are extra to the arrival and departure options to choose from.
1 x Handy Lists Page – for you to gather all the things you need. We hope you’ll have about 80% of it already. (We also have handy lists for each activity).
4 x Emergency Day Off Slips – each one is different, with comical excuses for when The Bossy Elf needs a day off or you just forget!
2 x Arrival Options – which explain to the children why The Bossy Elf is so bossy this year! (whether it’s a new or returning Bossy Elf!)
2 x Departure Options – to keep everyone in good spirits, no one’s going to want to say goodbye to The Bossy Elf on Christmas Eve!
What age are The Bossy Elf’s Tricky Tasks suitable for?
The tasks are aimed at children aged 6+ and designed so that if you have more than one child the phrasing is still suitable.
You do not need to purchase more than one copy of “The Bossy Elf’s Terrible Tasks” Activity pack if you have more than one child.
A lot of the tasks are practical and use lots of household items or just the prop cards themselves.
Please Note:
1. In this “Bossy Elf Terrible Tasks” pack (book format), no Bossy Elves or gold-coloured chairs are included.
2. This is not designed as a book for children to sit and work through. It is designed for grown-ups to cut the task prop cards from for their Bossy Elf scenes.
What if it’s already December, can I still do The Bossy Elf’s Terrible Tasks?
If you’ve left it a little late to get your activity pack or it’s taking its time to arrive to you in the post, please contact us through our website with your order number ASAP to tell us that you need a little help. We could email you an “Oops, I Elf-ed up and I’m gonna be a little late this year!” message (with a funny reason why) from The Bossy Elf for you to print off.
Also, it’s handy to know that one of The Bossy Elf’s arrival options (we give you two options) uses everyday things from home as props. As well as this, a lot of the main tasks come with all you need on the prop cards themselves (like puzzles, the series of riddles and forbidden words challenges). The rest of the activities only need a few household items, giving you time to get organised once your Bossy Elf pack arrives.
